To submit to our Curated Mic, please send the following materials as an attachment to wordlightspoetry@gmail.com:
One (1) previously unpublished original poem.
Your name, pronouns, and contact information
A brief bio is appreciated, but not necessary for consideration
File formats accepted: Word Doc, PDF, RTF

Writers of Color and LGBTQIA+ Poets are strongly encouraged to submit!
Send us a poem you believe in, a poem you’ve been itching to perform on stage and want to see published in print. We’re open to all forms of poetry, however, please consider how your poem will present on mic (and be sure that your performance will take no more than 5 minutes time). Practice is strongly encouraged.
All submissions will be reviewed by our Wordlights team. Finalists will additionally be read by the Featured Readers and considered for a Broadside Prize.
Accepted submissions will automatically be included in our end-of-year anthology, with agreements distributed at the date of acceptance.
We do not accept simultaneous submissions, however, we will respond to you in a timely fashion. If for any reason you haven’t heard from us by two-months after your initial submission, please contact us again.
