ANNOUNCING OUR 4TH POETRY COLLECTION FOR 2022

We're writing with some BIG NEWS: the Kickstarter is nearly funded now and we're ready to reveal the fourth poet who will be joining our lineup and publishing a debut book this autumn! We were so thrilled to receive a brilliant submission from this author and can't wait to share their work with you all, so without further ado, it's our pleasure to announce...

ZIA POLLIS

will be joining the Lightship crew!

Zia is a writer and illustrator from Chamisal, New Mexico. She has participated in several poetry slams across New Mexico, the Verse Converse festival, and readings with the Society of the Muse of the Southwest (SOMOS). She has competed in the national youth poetry slam, Brave New Voices, and has been featured in MassPoetry's U35 reading series for poets under 35. She is a contributing editor for Peripheries Magazine and Harvard Divinity Bulletin. Her work has appeared in Nailed Magazine and MassPoetry. She holds a B.A. in English from Reed College and is a current Master's of Divinity student (MDiv) at the Harvard Divinity School in Boston, Massachusetts.

Both Igor and I have been fans of Zia's work for years -- her poetry is artful, visceral, and utterly stunning -- and we think you're about to be blown away by her words.

Pre-order up a copy of Zia's forthcoming collection with Lightship right now by visiting our Kickstarter, or learn more about Zia and her work with this luminous interview over at NAILED Magazine.
